I guess we'll have to talk about this on the show this week. I'm just getting too many friends on the Facebook repeating this cookie-cutter garbage about socialism. One dude even called me out on it when I posted this really good interview on Bill Moyers with Mike Davis, a socialist professor.
I've been trying to not respond to everything I see, because I'd probably stroke out after a while, but it has been trying and I think I figured out why.
It's not an "I'm right you're wrong" issue for me. I know that there's a ton of stuff I don't know about - hell, just from watching that Mike Davis interview I know I'd be bringing a knife to that gunfight. But it's just the same arguments over and over again, taken right from a Hannity or Rush show. And each one is a complete load of garbage. Let's take the socialist thing:
We are not going "socialist". Most people don't even know what this concept means. And there has never been a single government in history (other than on some island that we know of) that has ever been a pure anything. Sorry all you "patriots" not even ours. It's a hollow argument that rich people use to get us poor folk to argue amongst ourselves while they keep control over money and power. It's a smokescreen.
OK...more on the show, but feel free to comment here.

It's funny that you mention these guys like Hannity and Rush. Keith Olbermann was on Bill Maher's show last week talking about how if the left wing media paid these guys what right wingers do, they would flip with no problem.
